Cesar Enrique's story

Cesar Enrique is 53 years old, married, and has eight children who are 28, 25, 23, 21, 19, 18, 15 and 3 years old. He lives with his wife and children in Rancho Grande, in Ventanas canton, in Los Ríos province.

The 'Bendición de Dios' (God's Blessing) community bank is located in Rancho Grande, in Puerto Pechiche parish, 45 minutes from the office. It has 11 members.

Cesar Enrique is a farmer who grows rice and corn. He is requesting this loan to buy fertilizers, urea, insecticides and weed-killing liquids. With the help of the loan he will be able to buy the fertilizers he needs for his crops.

Cesar Enrique makes his purchases every week in Ventanas and makes his sales according to his harvests in the same city. His dream is to prosper in his business and increase his produce. The challenge that he faces is bad seed that people sometimes sell during the sowing season.

In his free time, Cesar Enrique enjoys relaxing in his hammock and checking on his crops.
