This is 39-year-old Fadzayi from Harare the capital of Zimbabwe. She is married and has five children, four of whom attend school.

Fadzayi runs a retail business, selling groceries. The business has been in operation for 12 years. She says the main challenge she faces is stiff competition. Fadzayi has requested a loan of $750 to buy groceries for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family’s welfare.

In the future Fadzayi plans to own a supermarket.
