Yuryi's story

Yuryi and his family live in the village of Vodyanoye. He is in the greenhouse farming business and he grows early tomatoes, cucumbers, and radishes. Yuryi has a large piece of land, on which there are three 10x60m greenhouses, as well as two separate greenhouses for seedlings. This year, Yuryi invested 80,000 hryven in the installation of heating in all the greenhouses, which has fundamentally increased his business' potential. Yuryi has been farming for 10 years now and has 200,000 hryven invested in his farm. He spends about 43,000 hryven every year buying seed and greenhouse film.

Yuryi would like to invest additional funds, received through Kiva, in purchasing greenhouse film for 4,000 hryven, radish seed for 2,000 hryven, as well as coal for 9,000 hryven. Yuryi needs to prepare his greenhouses and the land for the growing season. In the fall, he had purchased a load of coal, but because of the strong freezes this winter, its use was more than expected. Because of this, he now needs to buy additional coal. Yuryi wants very much to invest in the improvement of his home. You see, it's a big house, but it needs repairs. Very recently, Yuryi installed new windows and poured concrete floors. For now, there is no money for repairs because the family has decided to invest all their funds in the greenhouses. Otherwise there will be nothing to live on later.
