A loan of $200 helped to buy natural fertilizer.

Agustina's story

Agustina, 37, is a hardworking woman. She lives with her two children who she loves very much and cares for in her own house located in Colcabamba. Her main source of income is farming potatoes, corn and lima beans.

She heads out into her fields every day very early in the morning to straighten out the furrows, fertilize and to be able to prevent pest incursions. “I always have to be vigilant of problems that might arise,” she affirms. Because of this, she spends most of her time among her crops, “up there in the heights,” like she says. Also, like a good daughter of the countryside, she also raises animals that she keeps very well fed with natural grasses and above all with the care that only Agustina can provide. Because of this, when they are grown she sells them at a good price; merchants come by her zone constantly.

She belongs to the “Maraypampa” communal bank and this is the first MFP loan. She feels happy because she found the help she so needed to start toward her objectives. In addition, she’s very responsible with all her tasks so she promises to be punctual with her payments.

If Agustina were to receive your support, she will take advantage of the season of highest demand for corn to obtain profits. She will do so buying fertilizer to spread among her crops which will be harvested soon.
