The group's representative, Bérengère Germaine, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 54 years old and is not yet married. Neither does she have any children. So she supports herself alone. To do so, she has a business selling shoes, cloth, and handbags out of her home. She has been in this business for three years and gets her supplies from Lomé, the capital of Togo.

Le groupement AFEPEB est composé de douze personnes qui mènent toutes des activités génératrices de revenus et habitent le même village. C'est la deuxième fois que ce groupement sollicite l'aide financier de ALIDé, afin d'élever le niveau de leur activité. La représentante de ce groupement, du nom de Bérengère Germaine est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Bérengère Germaine est âgée de 54 ans et n'est pas encore mariée. Bérengère Germaine n'a pas non plus d'enfant. Bérengère Germaine assure donc seule ses différentes charges. Pour y parvenir, Bérengère Germaine mène comme activité, la vente de chaussures, de tissus et de sacs à son domicile. Bérengère Germaine exerce cette activité depuis trois ans et s’approvisionne à Lomé. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaire et son revenu, Bérengère Germaine sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupement AFEPEB, un deuxième crédit auprès de ALIDé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
