A loan of $750 helped to purchase raw materials for making bricks and tiles.

Yeny's story

Yeny is a 25 year old hard-working woman. She has lived for 5 years with her husband Enrique. Together they have a daughter, Lesly, whom they care for in their own house located in the town of Huertas.

Beginning 4 years ago, Yeny wakes up every morning in search of straw and dry sticks because she has to bake the tiles and bricks that she prepares. She enjoys her job very much, above all because together with her husband they face their business problems and also enjoy the successes.

Yeny makes a daily average of 400 to 600 bricks. She likes this a lot because she can have more than one batch per month, which means 12 thousand bricks. But she confesses, very confused, that the season during which she has the least income is winter, when the rains impede the drying of the bricks and her production reduces to half. It is during this time that Yeny takes advantage of the opportunity to seed her agricultural land, which consists of corn, peas, and some potatoes. In each harvest, she sells these crops in the city of Jauja, where there are Sunday markets.

This is Yeny's first loan with MFP, and she is happy because she has the capital necessary to improve her business and thus her quality of life. In addition, she likes belonging to the association because its members are caring and hard-working. Upon receiving this support, Yeny will invest the requested money in the purchase of raw materials for making bricks and tiles.
