A loan of $575 helped to purchase Eternit cement and wood.

Edy's story

Edy, who is forty-four years old, is a single woman. She has raised her seven children by herself. Currently, she lives with four of them in her own home, which is located in the town of Saños Grande. She trusts her group because she has worked for a long time with its members. Thanks to its support, she has been able to obtain many things to improve her quality of life. Her main economic activity is raising animals, i.e. chicken and guinea pigs, which she sells at a good price. She owns a considerable number of them, and every day she works to improve her stock and be able to provide them with good feed. Additionally, she benefits from the time she spends at home by cutting firewood, which she sells to saunas. The sauna owners know her and continually order firewood from her. She works tirelessly since she has to provide for her children herself. As a result, she cleans a house in the mornings. “I’m the cleaning queen,” she says happily. All of these jobs keep her busy and help her to get ahead so she can see her children develop. This is her eighteenth loan with MFP. She is happy because she has the capital she needs to improve her business and, as a result, her quality of life. Additionally, she likes belonging to her group because its members are hard-working and caring people. Edy will invest the loan she is requesting by purchasing Eternit cement and wood to build a shed for her animals.
