A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase supplies such as flour, butter and sugar for making pastries.

Marcia Limbania's story

Marcia is 33 years old and lives in her own house which is located in a neighborhood of the town of Tarija. Marcia is married and has three children whom she, along with her husband, cares and provides education for. Her husband is not a recipient of the loan because he's not currently in town. Marcia has been making pastries in general for several years. Now she has to work in order to get herself and her children ahead. Marcia has been in this line of work for 6 years and she's very well-known to her customers who request her products. Marcia wishes to get better profits so that she can get ahead. However, she tells us that she needs to buy supplies such as flour, butter and sugar, because she has many orders to meet. That way she will be able to finish her pending orders as soon as possible, since she already has experience in the business.
The loan will be used to purchase said supplies, which she needs for her business, so that she can increase her profits.
Marcia tells us that she wishes to improve her living conditions, and for that reason she says that the next loan she requests will be for making home improvements.
