Diana's story

Diana is 50 years old. She lives in a small village in Kareli district. She is a widow and lives alone.

Diana is a teacher in a local kindergarten. Along with her main job, Diana earns a living through an agricultural business. She has a small dairy farm with a milk cow and a calf. Diana produces cheese and sells it in the village. Along with the abovementioned, she owns 2.2 hectares of land, where cabbages, haricots and wheat are grown. Diana sells the harvested products locally to green grocery products retailers. Her total average monthly income is 500 Laris.

Diana requested credit for the cultivation of her land and purchasing of fertilizers. She will work hard during the spring season to get a good harvest in the summer and fall. A small part of the credit will be used to purchase hay for the cow and the calf. She will need to supply them with hay until May. In May there will be fresh grass available. Diana will sell her harvested products through known distribution channels and get the expected income, which will be used for daily expenses.
