A loan of $1,300 helped to purchase flour, milk, maté, noodles, rice, sugar, etc.

Elvira's story

45-year-old Elvira is a single mother of two children from the town of Itá. She owns a well-stocked grocery store where she serves most of her neighbors and friends by offering them a good variety of the best products at good prices.
She tells us that she works twice as hard so that she can provide her children with everything they need for living with dignity and without the deprivation she had to go through. She sacrifices herself because she wishes to see her children become well-adjusted people who are useful not only to themselves but to society as well.
Elvira requests the loan in order to purchase flour, milk, maté, noodles, rice, sugar and other items. This will allow her to stock up her store and keep it well assorted so that she can continue to offer her customers a wide variety of merchandise. She gives thanks to the Fundación and Kiva for the opportunity she and her children are getting, since she's by herself and she will very much benefit from this help.
