Yrupe Group's story

This communal bank from the city of Paraguarí are called 'Yrupe', because that is the name of their neighborhood street. They are committed to keeping the group together and they work under a framework of respect and mutual responsibility. The bank is currently in their fifth cycle with excellent ratings. The group is composed of 12 women who invest their loans in their respective activities. Apolinaria defines herself as a hard working and enterprising woman, with a lot of spirit to progress. She says that she has been selling milk for quite some time and so already has a well-defined clientele. She starts work very early in the morning every day, as she has to deliver milk to the customer's table in time for breakfast. Apolinaria is requesting a loan to purchase milk, which will increase her stock and enable her to have more supplies so that she can fulfill the orders from her customers.
