Ademar

A loan of $1,975 helped to remodel his carpentry shop and to buy supplies.

Ademar's story

Ademar is 40 and makes a living through carpentry. He lives with his wife and kids in a community called Osa, which is located in Caña Blancal in Puntarenas. This community is known for being a very rural area and is visited a lot because of its beaches. Its main economic industries are tourism and agriculture.

Ademar does carpentry work, and he says it is very interesting to him because he has seen how his business is growing little by little. His demand is always getting stronger, and the neighbors in the community have benefitted from his products. He also has some goals that he hopes to reach with financial help.

Ademar is requesting a loan for one million colones to buy supplies (wood) and to remodel his shop.

Ademar is a member of the communal bank of Caña Blancal, one of the 110 member organizations of EDESA in Costar Rica. With this loan, he hopes to grow at a personal and economic level. He also points out that thanks to this type of organization and ways of facilitating credit, he can dedicate more time to productive activities.
