A loan of $525 helped to buy more clothing, including school uniforms and track suits.

Maria's story

María, 58, is a courageous, single mother. She lives with her two children, Juan and Raquel, in a rental house in the district of Chilca. Through perseverance, she has been able to provide for her children, working in different activities. From Monday through Friday she sells all kinds of clothing in different colors and sizes to people in the area. She sells door to door since she has no shop or specific location where she can be found. Another little secret is that she sells clothing at the fairs in the cities of Huancayo and Huancavelica. In the future she wants to rent space in the city center.

On weekends she sells pudding at the grand fair in the city of Huancayo, where she earns extra money. Since she knows all efforts are compensated she continues working without taking a day off because she wants her children to get ahead and have aspirations. She belongs to the communal bank "IDME" and this is her 26th loan through MFP, where she is counting on your support to help her continue toward her goals. She is committed to paying back the loan on time. Also, she enjoys being in her communal bank since all the members are responsible and caring. María plans to use the loan to buy school uniforms and track suits to increase business.
