Bumaira's story

Bumaira is 41 years old, she is married and has four children. As a source of income for her family Bumaira started doing animal husbandry ten years ago. The business started with 20,000 som (KGS) now brings around 5,500 KGS a month from the sale of dairy and meat products. Through hard work Bumaira's business has ten heads of large horned cattle, ten sheep and one horse. Also Bumaira cultivates 2,0 hectares of her own arable land where she grows beans and 1,0 hectare of rented land with potatoes. With the purpose to further grow her business Bumaira has come to Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan in the amount of 100,000 som to buy two calves for fattening, ammonium nitrate to fertilize the land and seeds of premium potatoes. She plans to invest the income from the loan to expand the shed space for the cattle and to do cosmetic repairs of inside of her house.
