A loan of $625 helped to buy accessories such as cases, souvenirs, picture frames, and to make his own photography studio adequate.

Luis's story

Luis is 48 years old and lives in the city of Barranquilla with his wife and his two children, ages 4 and 5 years. He makes a living as a professional photographer at events such as birthdays, graduations, first communions, etc.

He originally learned through a friend and later was able to specialize through a combination of specific courses, which has allowed him to perfect his work and devote himself to building clientele, which today helps him stand out in the city.

As his goal is to have his own studio and a store for camera accessories, his major challenge is to have sufficient working capital to achieve that. This is exactly the reason he is applying for credit with Kiva, the first funding which is made to the Fundacion Mario Santo Domingo, through which he will buy accessories like cases, souvenirs, picture frames, and make his own photography studio adequate.

With this investment he will be able to continue operating his business and surely augment and diversify his services, which will be more useful, resulting in a successful investment.
