Somaly, 62, is widowed and resides with a daughter in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been working as a commune counselor for over three years, earning approximately USD 5 per day.
In order to improve her family’s economy, Somaly is requesting for a loan of USD 1200 to purchase a generator to run a business of charging batteries. This loan will enable her to generate extra income to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and build a new concrete house.
