A loan of $450 helped buy 50 units of llicllas (traditional fabric made into a shall or to carry babies).

Yaneth's story

Yaneth is a member of the “Santa Cruz de Acari” Communal Bank, in the Yunguyo province of the department of Puno. She’s 26 years old, finished junior high school and has a partner and one child.
Yaneth has been working with Movimiento Manuel Ramos for two years. Her 1st loan was for 500 soles, which she invested in the purchase of llicllas (traditional fabric made into a shall or to carry babies).
Yaneth is requesting a new loan for 1,200 soles, which she will use to buy 50 units of llicllas in the town of Juliaca, where her husband offers his services as a tailor.
Her dream for the future is to travel to other areas with her merchandise to generate more income. What she likes most about her Communal Bank are the meetings, punctuality, savings and income.
