Elizabeth, 59, began Prestigious Cleaning Service in San Antonio, Texas after looking for an alternate type of business to work in while she juggles a full-time job. She decided to get into the janitorial industry because “it seemed like a good thing to do,” she said. “So far so good.”
Prestigious Cleaning Service began in July 2011 when Elizabeth realized every business needs their office cleaned but not everybody wants or can afford to do it.
Currently, she employs two people besides herself and works only in commercial buildings. Elizabeth plans to hire more workers as her business grows.
Elizabeth plans to use her ACCION Texas Inc. loan to pay for salaries, and to pay Jan-Pro Cleaning Systems, which markets and secures her business while she continues to work full time.
“The ACCION loan will give me an opportunity to hire staff to clean businesses. I really appreciate this opportunity,” she said adding that the loan will also help hire more people for additional evening work.
