A loan of $825 helped to buy sacks of processed cassava flour.

Bienvenue's story

This borrower is a 44-year-old single mother of one child. She started working in small trade after leaving school in the ninth grade, and has been selling foufou (processed root vegetable) for nearly eleven years.

She previously received three loans, which she repaid successfully. The loans helped her to increase her savings. Her business is booming, as she sells 5 to 10 sacks of 50 kg per week.

She will use her new loan to replenish her stock by buying twenty 50kg sacks of foufou. She always buys the highest quality of foufou as this is how she can attract new customers and ensure their loyalty.

She has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and her main goal is to open a foufou storage facility and offer home delivery. She continues to improve her living conditions and provide for her child’s education
