A loan of $400 helped a member to buy second-hand clothing for resale.

Mahoudjro Group's story

MAHOUDJRO is a group of three people whose members all live in the same area. The group’s representative is Catherine (whose hand is raised in the photo). She is 41 and married to a man named Thierry. They have four dependent children, all in school. Catherine lives with her husband and children, and the couple handle together the various household responsibilities.

Catherine has been selling second-hand clothing door-to-door in Benin for nearly ten years. She buys her stock at a market in Benin.

This is the second time that the group is seeking financial assistance from ALIDé to strengthen their working capital and their activity, and also to better meet the needs of their customers. The first loan was repaid without incident.
