A loan of $275 helped to buy new utensils such as knives, kitchen machetes, and cutting boards.

Beliza Sugey's story

Beliza lives together with her husband and her young son, 10 years old, in the city of Ica. This city is characterized by its warm climate, its impressive sand dunes and the "Huacachina lake," known as "the oasis of the Americas." As a good Peruvian, Beliza likes the food of our country very much. Her favorite dish is the delicious "red noodles."

With great effort she has been able to have her own business for the past four years, selling chickens in the market of her city. She dedicates herself to her work about 8 hours a day, and she can serve up to 50 customers. She believes that it is going well for her in her business because she is very friendly with the customers, and above all, she offers quality products.

Beliza is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to your help she will be able to buy new utensils, such as knives, kitchen machetes, and cutting boards for her business. Thus, she will be able to offer better service with utensils in good condition, and her customers will have more confidence. This will permit her to keep working to fulfill her greatest dream: to have her own house and give her son a good education.
