A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy supplies for her beauty salon.

Mujeres Progresistas Group's story

The “Mujeres Progresistas” ["Progressive Women"] committee was formed through the union of a group of neighbors in the city of Santaní. They are women with a great spirit of hard work and progress. They are very hard-working and enterprising people, who want to get ahead and help their families.

Sara is one of these women. She comments that she works in hairstyling, and she already has a well-defined base of customers who always come to her to ask for her services. She defines herself as a very enterprising person with a great desire to get ahead.

She is requesting the loan to buy hair dyes, shampoo, rinses, nail polish and other supplies which she uses in her work. She is grateful to the foundation and to Kiva for the opportunity that she and her group are receiving.

In this group: Sonia Raquel, Norma , Lidia , Yolanda , Sara , Angelina , Gregorina , Teodora , Eugenia , Sixta
