A loan of $2,500 helped a member to buy supplies to stock a grocery store.

Lujan Group's story

The communal bank called "Lujan," was formed in the city of Asunción. Currently it is on its second loan, and the sense of responsibility in the participation in the activities and meetings stands out. Each one of the members has a desire to progress, and they also feel responsibility with their payments. They hope that their children don't have the same work and educational limitations, and that is why they put forth double the effort to offer their children opportunities of progress.

Emilce is one of the members of the group. She tells us that she has a grocery store, which she has had for awhile now. Thanks to her work, she has been able to give her family what they need to have a better lifestyle. Her wish is to keep working and it that way to continue helping her family.

She is requesting the loan to buy drinks, baked goods, dairy products, and other necessary products so she can stock her business well. In this way, she will always be supplied for her customers.
