A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase a motorbike for commuting.

Sroeurn's story

Sroeurn, 45, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia.

She has been selling fish and pork for more than 10 years, earning approximately USD 5 per day. Her husband is a construction foreman who can earn about USD 7 per day. One of her children is a garment worker and earns approximately USD 3 per day.

Due to the difficulty in family’s transportation, Sroeurn is requesting for a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable her to use the saved money on her transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, she would like to run a poultry farm and rebuild her present house to make it bigger and stronger to provide convenient living conditions for the family.
