A loan of $225 helped to purchase milk, fruit, bags and cups for her business.

Reina Isabel's story

Reina is a young woman of 29, is married with a daughter and lives in San Lorenza Valle in southern Honduras in the home of her in-laws'. Reina has a business selling "charamuscas" (candy twists) and popsicles from her place of residence. There she attends her customers daily who come by to buy popsicles and charamuscas since it is located in a particularly hot area. Reina is requesting 5,000 lempiras to purchase milk, fruit, bags and cups so she can make her products. With this loan she is hoping to improve her quality of life since she will have better supplies which will in turn generate more money. Reina dreams of someday owning her own home.
