A loan of $700 helped to buy supplies for stocking her grocery store.

Vicenta's story

Vicenta is 48, and has been married for 32 years to Rogelio, who is 59. They have two children, one of whom has already married and lives independently. Their daughter is studying for a nursing degree.

Vicenta has owned a grocery store and butcher shop for 11 years, and has a regular clientele. Her husband is a farmer, and grows sugar cane. Together, they help one another meet the household expenses. Their priority is to enable their daughter to finish her degree and be a good professional in her chosen profession.

She is applying for this loan in order to buy meats, cookies, washing soap, condiments, assorted drinks, flour, toilet paper, sugar, and other items that will allow her to offer variety to her customers. This way she will be able to improve her income and that of her family.
