Mónica Susana's story

Mónica is a member of the community bank 14 de Agosto. She lives in the parish of Zhidmad in Cuenca, a place that is surrounded by abundant vegetation, where one can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. The people there work in agriculture, raise animals, and many work daily in the city at various jobs. Mónica is 20 years old and is the single mother of a little boy of 6 months old. She lives in her parents' house and she shares the household expenses with them. Her father is a private employee, and her mother takes care of the home. The house that they live in belongs to her parents. She works in agriculture, she grows vegetables and sells the results of her work and she also buys vegetables to sell in the city market. She works Monday to Friday without a fixed timetable. She also raises cattle, rabbits, guinea pigs and pigs. This is the third loan she has had from the community bank and she will use it to buy vegetables and animal feed. Her goal is to buy herself a vehicle.
