Budumbuli West B (Ii) Group's story

The group leader of this small group is Fatuma N.. She is currently in the business of selling charcoal and is requesting a loan to increase her stock purchases. Fatuma is 48 years old and is married with a husband who is a driver for work. She has 5 children ranging from ages 10 to 30 and her children go to school. Each week, Fatuma makes approximately UGX 210000 in profits and with the extra profits from her loan, she hopes to be able to pay the school fees for her children and to cater for her household needs. Fatuma has taken a loan from BRAC Uganda before in the amount of UGX 250000 in order to put capital into her business and the loan was paid back on time.

Fatuma is joined in her small group by Aidah N., Rose B. and Mariam K.. Aidah N. has a business in poultry farming and selling charcoal and wants to purchase more broiler chicks and charcoal. Rose B. is currently operating a business in education and wants a loan to invest in her school. Mariam K. operates a business selling used clothes and wants to add more stock.
