A loan of $275 helped to buy merchandise for her business.

Juana's story

Juana, 47, is married and has one child in her care. Her home is located in the Mayta Capac neighborhood, in a rural area of the Tambogrande district. Her house does not have basic utilities (such as electricity or water).

Juana has a store in her house, where she sells grocery products such as rice, sugar, milk, beans and other basic necessities to the people in her neighborhood. In addition, she raises sheep and poultry. Her husband also supports her activities by cultivating lemons that he later harvests and sells on some parcels of land that he owns.

At this time, Juana lacks sufficient groceries to carry on with her business, and so she has come to request a loan of 700 Peruvian soles which she will use to buy groceries to stock up her store.
