Julia Teresa's story

Julia is a member of the El Arenal communal bank. She lives in the city of Cuenca, which is known for its natural and architectural beauty. Since 1999 it has been a World Heritage Site. It is the third most important city in the country's economy. Its people have great charisma and warm hearts, and they maintain the culture and traditions of its peoples.

Julia is 35 years old and married, and there are 3 children of the marriage aged 12, 11 and 1. Her first two daughters are attending school. Her husband is an artesan. They live in a rented house.

Julia works with her husband in an upholstery shop that they own. They have been doing this work for 16 years and they work from Monday to Saturday, from 7 in the morning until 6 at night.

She has been a member of the communal bank for 3 years and will invest her loan to buy fabric, imitation leather, upholstery foam, glue, etc. for her business.

Her goal is to own her own home.
