A loan of $1,125 helped to buy clothes.

Yossy Licet's story

Yosi, 23, is a very enthusiastic, hard working young woman. She lives in the city of Pisco, a city noted for having one of Perú’s most important tourist attractions which is the Paracas Candelabrum and the Ballestas Islands. It’s also noted for its main activities which are fishing and agriculture.

Yosi learned how to earn her daily bread with the sweat of her brow when she was 12 years old because her parents were of very low income so she had to support her family. As time has passed and having saved up she managed to open her own clothing sales business. She’s been in business 6 years and she believes that she does well because she tries very hard to treat her customers well.

Yosi is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they’ve given her she will be able to buy more merchandise (blouses, shorts and pants, among others) which will make it possible for her to have higher income and to continue studying Business Administration since due to economic reasons she had to drop out. This way she will be able to continue working and reach her greatest dream: “To have a clothing store and finish her career.”
