A loan of $875 helped to buy larger volumes of beer.

Dagoberto's story

Dagoberto, 56, is married and makes a living selling softdrinks and beer, Friday through Sunday. He also works every day as a carpark attendant. He began his business in early 2011 when family, neighbors and friends used to get together on weekends across the street from his house to play dominoes and drink a few beers. There is a carpark there where Dagoberto is the surveillance attendant.

Currently he is requesting a CrediKiva loan, the second through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, to buy larger volumes of beer and prepare for the upcoming weekend which has an extra day's holiday. Dagoberto will use the loan to obtain discounts when buying larger volumes of beverages, meaning his investment will be successful. This will allow him to earn more profit to increase his working capital. With the previous loan he increased his working capital, profits and family well-being, which he wants to continue increasing.
