Ediopaguita Maria's story

Diopaguita María is 57 years old and single. She has five children and lives with them in Ventanas, province of Los Ríos. She is a member of 25 de Febrero Communal Bank, located in the Guabito precinct of the parish of Zapotal in the canton of Ventanas, where they work in agriculture.

Ediopaguita María does the housework and also works in agriculture growing corn. She is requesting the loan to be able to buy chickens, pigs, and feed such as balanced feed, "polvillo" [made from rice powder], vaccinations, and vitamins. With the help of the loan she will be able to buy the necessities for raising the chickens for later sale.

The challenges she faces are the illnesses the chickens get and the bad weather. Her dream is to be able to get ahead and in the future install a store. In her free time she likes to sew clothing and rest a little.
