A loan of $2,100 helped a member to buy more merchandise and to open a grocery store.

Doncellas Group's story

Doncellas is a solidarity group that is in its third loan cycle with this institution. They are a small group composed of 6 women and are very satisfied with the group as it is. They have already been in other groups with other institutions before and have known each other well for 5 years. They are neighbors and try to choose the people who enter their group well, since they don't like that anyone is bad with the payments. Karla Elizabeth is one of the members of this group. Three years ago, Karla decided to start to sell groceries and silver jewelry in street markets. Karla requested a loan to be able to acquire more merchandise and in that way offer her clients a wider variety of products. She is 27 years old and is married. They have 2 small boys, 8 and 4 years old. Karla aspires to get ahead to see her sons advance. She wants to make her business grow little by little so that one day, she will be able to open a grocery store.
