A loan of $600 helped to build a covered shed for selling her tortillas.

María Concepción's story

María is 53, and a widow with three children. She has made and sold tortillas for more than 10 years. She says that this business has gone very well in that time.

She will buy the ingredients for making the tortillas, such as corn, in the area. She herself is going to cut the firewood and take it to her house.

The loan that María is applying to Fundación Campo for is to build a covered shed for making and selling her tortillas, as she says that in the wintertime, the place where she has the oven and firewood always gets wet.

With the investment she will have comfort, as in the rainy season she won't experience the same difficulty as last year. This way she will work steadily, and winter won't represent a difficulty for her work.

In the future she wishes to buy windows and install a floor for her house.
