A loan of $2,500 helped a member to buy clothes and shoes for resale.

Kubatana Group's story

This is 30-year-old Heather from Machipisa, one of the oldest suburbs in Harare. She is married with one child, who attends school. Heather runs a retail business selling clothes. The business has been in operation for 10 years. She says the main challenge faced is the poor shelter at the marketplace.

Heather has requested a loan of $500 to buy winter wear for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to pay her child's school fees. In the future Heather plans to operate a self-owned shop.
