A loan of $1,125 helped a member to buy a new sewing machine for sewing business.

Saiqa's Group's story

Saiqa has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her sewing business. With the loan, she will buy a new sewing machine because her current machine doesn’t produce quality work and takes a lot of time to sew a single dress. Saiqa is a married woman and she has three daughters. Her elder daughter reads in 10th standard, the next is in 5th standard while her youngest one is in 4th standard. Her husband is a driver by profession and drives a rickshaw. He provides transportation facilities to his passengers and charges fares which he sets according to the route. His fares are very affordable for his passengers. Saiqa and her husband both are very hard-working persons. They are bringing up their daughters with great care and providing them better education so they gets good opportunities in life. Saiqa is hopeful that the loan investment will bring positive financial changes to her sewing business.
