A loan of $2,625 helped to buy children's spring jackets and windbreakers for seasonal sales.

Natalya's story

Natalya lives in Nikopol. She is a entrepreneur at the market, where she sells a most diverse assortment of goods: children's jackets, windbreakers, men's and women's hats, as well as backpacks and camping gear. Natalya has already been selling hats for quite some time; she started 15 years ago. However, by training, Natalya is a guide. Four times a year, she leads various groups on hiking trips. When the time came, her skills and the experience she earned as a guide helped her to open a sales outlet for camping gear, which she added to her assortment of clothes and hats.

At the present time, Natalya has 40,000 hryven invested in inventory. She needs a loan through Kiva of 21,000 hryven in order to buy children's jackets and windbreakers for seasonal sales. Natalya is hoping to continue with this part of her business since she has already gained good experience in it. Nonetheless, she is placing her stake on the growth in sales of her hiking merchandise, as active types of recreation are becoming more and more popular among all strata of the Ukrainian population.
