Jocelyn is married and has three children. She is 38 years old and lives in Bolinsong, Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental, Philippines.
Jocelyn owns and operates a plot of farmland, planting and harvesting rice to sell in order to earn a living. She has been in this business for eight years and earns 4,000 PHP each month. She has requested a loan of 8,000 PHP in order to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young plants to grow. In 2010, Jocelyn became a member of Kiva's partner, GDMPC.
In the future, Jocelyn's plan is to save money in order to support her children’s studies.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
