Malai is 43 years old, married, and has three children. She resides in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling embroidered clothes for over six years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband runs a taxi service and earns approximately $3 per day. Two of her children are garment workers, earning approximately $6 per day.
In order to improve her business, Malai is requesting a loan for $700, which she will use to purchase more embroidered clothes to sell. By doing so, she will generate more profits to support her family. In the future, she would like to use the profits to expand her business, help her children earn their bachelor’s degrees, and build a wooden house.
