Kembang Kertas Group's story

Ni Nengah lives in Melaya, West Bali. Though Ni Nengah often helps her husband, she also raises pigs in her yard to supplement her family’s income. She has been raising pigs for 10 years.

Ni Nengah is the head of the Kembang Kertas group, which is made up of 10 neighbors from the same village. This is the group’s third loan with MUK. With the Rp 1,500,000 that Ni Nengah receives, she will purchase three piglets and pig feed. She plans to sell the piglets after six months for use as pork. With her earnings, she plans to purchase more pigs. With the income from her pig raising business, she hopes to save for her children's education.
