Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Ana Lidia's story

Ana Lidia is 38 years old and lives together with her children and husband in a house that she owns. She is an incredible woman who has a lot of business ideas which she is gradually putting into practice. Ana's business involves selling a variety of products such as clothing, footwear, dairy products and basic grains which she grows and then sells. She has been in these businesses for many years and so she already has a lot of experience and customers. She has good references from her neighbors who say that they are very satisfied with the service that she offers. Ana has decided to request a loan from INTEGRAL to invest in her business. She will mainly invest in buying supplies that she needs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) for growing the different basic grains that she sells because she has noticed a growing demand for them and would like to make the most of the opportunity. She hopes that, in this way, her sales will increase as well as her income so that she can improve her family's quality of life.
