Chhom is married and resides with her husband and two children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area which is well known for its historical tourism sites. Chhom and her husband have been involved in agriculture for over twenty years. They have extensive experience and are successful in their careers. They are involved in growing rice and fattening up cattle. They earn approximately US $5 per day. Chhom's two children are construction workers. They earn about US $8 per day.
Due to her family’s transportation expenses, Chhom is requesting a loan of US $600 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable her to use the money she saves on her transportation expenses to support her family. In the future, she would like to purchase more farmland for growing rice to generate more income to support her family.
