A loan of $1,175 helped to register his taxi.

José Eladio's story

José is a divorced 53 year old man who lives alone in Santo Domingo, one of the youngest cities in Ecuador. Right now it is the junction between the country's sierra and coast. It is a privileged place, not only for its ethnic wealth, but for the landscapes that can be found at the entrance to this beautiful city.

José is the owner of a taxi. He started this job ten years ago and so far this is his only source of income. José needs to pay to register his vehicle so that he can keep working. To do this, he has gone to the Fundación Alternativa seeking a loan.

Fundación Alternativa is the institution that will manage the loan through the KIVA portal. This is his second loan, and with the first he made his payments on time. This institution has offered trainings to José tells us that he really likes this. In this way, José will be able to have sustainable growth and take the most advantage of his money.

His dream is to own his own house and have better income. For now, he needs to renew the registry for his vehicle to be able to keep working.
