Jose Miguel's story

Jose, 28, lives with his wife and son of only two years together in the house of his grandparents whom he loves very much. They live in the city of Imperial, which is characterized by the friendliness of its inhabitants and by its agriculture. Jose is an enthusiastic and hard working young man. He has worked as a motor rickshaw driver for two years. He had the opportunity to purchase one, so he decided to go into this line of work. His wife supports him in everything he does. She also works in the fields. The two of them together contribute to the household expenses. Jose believes that everything is going well with his business because he is very friendly with his customers and because he makes a big effort to do his job well.

Jose is grateful for the Kiva lenders. Thanks to their support, he will be able to start his bookstore. He is going to purchase supplies such as notebooks, pens, and sheets of paper, among other things he will need to start the business. The business would allow him to earn more income and improve his quality of life. It would also allow him to continue fighting to accomplish his biggest goals of giving his son a profession and opening a chain of bookstores.
