Alcione's story

Alcione, 33, has two children (Ángela and Emanuel). She is a responsible mother who seeks opportunities at all times to get ahead and with her daily efforts provide a better future for her children.

Alcione is a hardworking woman who sells foodstuffs like rice, sugar, noodles and milk, for example. She has a small home-based store where she offers her products. She’s been in this business for 10 years now and has done very well.

Alcione rises very early to do her household chores like preparing breakfast and cleaning the house and then she tends to the store from 6am until 8pm. She needs the loan to buy beer, milk, flour, rice and sugar.

Alcione belongs to the “Reyna de Los Ángeles” (Queen of Angels) communal bank and she’s one of its founding members. Her dream is to expand the store. She is grateful for the opportunity provided this way and at the same time commits to make her installment payments according to the schedule.
