Noussissi Group's story

The group NOUSSISSI comprises fourteen persons who live in the same district and who have revenue-generating businesses in Benin. The representative of this group is named Delphine, and she is the one in the photo with her hand raised. Delphine is 54 years old and married to an electrician by the name of Vincent. They have four children, but only two of them are in their care. Among the children, some have had schooling. Delphine did not attend school. She lives together with her children to support and her husband. She and her husband jointly ensure that the diverse household expenses are covered. For about twenty years, Delphine has been selling beads, and she sells jewelry secondarily in the villages of Benin. She gets her supplies from a city in Benin. This is the second time that Delphine and the other members of the group NOUSSISSI have requested a loan from Alidé. This loan will enable them to bolster their businesses to respond better to the demands of their customers. The first loan has been repaid.
