A loan of $1,300 helped to purchase livestock.

Kyzjibek's story

Kyzjibek is 63 years old, a widow and raised six children. To provide a source of income for her family, she became involved in animal husbandry in 1991. The sheep business, started with a purchase of one ewe, today contains one dairy cow and ten sheep. Kyzjibek also works on 3.2 hectares of land, where she grows beans and wheat. In order to further develop her business, Kyzjibek requested a loan in the amount of 60,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to buy livestock. She plans to invest the earnings into a further increase of livestock headcount, so that she could further expand her business in the future by opening a food store.
