Negociantes Group's story

Las Negociantes are a support group in the Topo Chico neighborhood, in northern Monterrey. They are asking for their second loan with this institution. With the first one the distinguished themselves for being very punctual. The group is made up of 7 enterprising women who hope to be able to continue getting ahead and improving their businesses with this loan.

Idalia Guadalupe is one of the women in the group. She has 3 children between the ages of 13 and 17. All 3 of them are in school, one in junior high and the other 2 in high school. Like all mothers, she wants the best education possible for her children. That is why 3 years ago she began her flower arranging business. She makes the arrangements for special occasions, such as Mothers' Day, the Day of the Dead, Father's Day, and weddings and quinceaneras. With the help of the loan, she wants to be able to buy more materials such as vases, ribbons and plastic items to be able to make different types of arrangements. She hopes to be able to consolidate her micro business some day and open a locale.
