A loan of $1,300 helped to buy products for her store.

Melchora's story

Melchora is a shopkeeper whose business is located in her home. She has a well-stocked grocery store and butcher's shop and makes a lot of sales because she lives in a very busy area. She has an established customer base made up of passengers, soldiers, veterans, wage earners, etc. Her husband raises livestock and has a small establishment in a neighboring area.

Melchora tells us that her goal is to maintain and strengthen her work place. This is why she has come to Fundación Paraguaya and she is grateful to them for having given her the opportunity to obtain this loan for stocking her business with foodstuffs, drinks, dairy products and other products that she sells every day. She is grateful to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva for the opportunity that she is receiving.
